Year 6 have been learning all about the miracles that Jesus performed to prove that he was truly the 'Son of God'

World Book Day 2020
The National Holocaust Centre

Year 6 had a truly wonderful and eye opening trip to 'The National Holocaust Centre'. Children had the opportunity to experience what it was like to be a German Jew during WW2 and had the privilege to meet WW2 survivor Simon Winston.

Practical Science

Year 6 had a great time at Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School. Children took part in a practical science lesson, measuring the change of temperature over time.

The Harmonica

We have enjoyed silent debating what our new English book is going be, we will be using The Harmonica to include a flashback scene within our narratives.

Classification is sweet!

We have enjoyed using classification to help us classify different types of sweets, we enjoyed getting to eat them at the end even more.


Year 6 have been experiencing what life might be like in the Favelas. No running water, earthquakes, power cuts! It was a tricky morning for them to build their home with limited resources.

Mini Mermaids

Year 6 have started Curriculum 1 of the Mini Mermaid Programme. Mini Mermaids stands for self-worth, value and movement. ​ Mini Mermaids aims to change the lives of girls and young women by shifting their internal experience and the way they interact with the world around them through innovative character driven curriculum. Mini Mermaids train for a local 5K challenge through a structured 8 week programme where the focus is not on how fast the girls are, but on helping them find their happy pace and develop a life long love of movement and activity.
