The Leeds Children's Mayor 2020/21 elections are open!

Entering Leeds Children's Mayor is a great opportunity to help pupils learn about citizenship and democracy and to stand a chance of becoming the next Children’s Mayor of Leeds.

Due to Coronavirus and the uncertainty about when lockdown measures are loosened we have slightly amended the entry process this year. We are asking teachers to task their year 5 pupils to write a manifesto to become Leeds Children’s Mayor as part of their home learning. As pupils are not in school to be able to vote for the one overall entry they want to submit on behalf of their school, this year as a one off, we are asking the year 5 teacher to choose the three entries they would like to submit on behalf of their school. Our staff team will then select your schools’ final overall entrant.

The deadline to submit entries is Friday 19th June. All information about how to enter and the process can be found on our resource page: http://www.leedsforlearning.co.uk/Page/16720
