Year 5 & 6 (G&T) Writing Day

Pupils with a special talent for literacy, from Immaculate Heart, St Urban's, St Paul's, Holy Rosary and Holy Name came together in our hall to write poetry and think about writing ideas, techniques and styles with author and poet John Siddique.

The children produced some fabulous writing and really enjoyed their day. They made some new friends as well.

John was funny and very interesting to learn from.	We listened to each others poetry and enjoyed getting to know about each other
John made us think very carefully about our words... we were not allowed to be boring!	Our paper was full of ideas and jottings by the end of the day.
Even Mr Brennan tried to write a poem.... we never got to hear his attempt!	John told us that we should always be ourselves!
We had to stand and read our work out loud..... Some found this harder than others.	We had a great day, working with John and our new friends from other schools.
